Here are my five picks for player props in week one of the NFL season. Make the individual bets along with the parlay for the best results. Let’s get into it!

Trey McBride OVER 63.5 Receiving Yards

The Arizona Cardinals start the NFL season on the road against the New Orleans Saints. The Saints are projected to be one of the worst teams in the league this season and a big part of that projection is because the defense is old and bad.

Last season, New Orleans was 30th in total defense and 27th against the pass, allowing 238.5 passing yards per game. Opposing tight ends feasted on the Saints, last season. There were 10 tight ends who were able to get more than 65 receiving yards while playing against the black and gold. There is not much reason to believe the Saints’ defense will be any better this season.

Trey McBride was one of the best tight ends in the NFL, last season, accumulating over 1,100 receiving yards on 111 catches. McBride had 10 games with at least 64 receiving yards. The former Colorado State standout should start the year on a high note against the Saints with at least 64 receiving yards.

Saquon Barkley Anytime Touchdown (-195)

The defending Superbowl champion, Philadelphia Eagles, start the season with the opening night Thursday night game against the Dallas Cowboys.

The Cowboys were 29th against the run last season and recently traded away their best defensive player in Micah Parsons. Dallas did get Kenny Clark and two first round picks in return for Parsons. Clark may help the run defense but not enough to slow down Barkley. I would be shocked if Barkley doesn’t get at least one touchdown in this game.

Joe Burrow OVER 263.5 Passing Yards

The Cincinnati Bengals start their season on the road at the Cleveland Browns. The Bengals have lots of questions heading into the 2025 season but they look like the picture of certainty compared to the Browns.

The Browns are expected to be one of, if not, the worst team in the NFL due to their lack of offense, which will put the defense in bad positions. This will lead to the defense being out on the field too long and offenses like the Bengals will take full advantage of that.

Burrow will be able to throw all over the field against this Browns team, especially in the second half as they fatigue from being on the field too much.

Tony Pollard UNDER 61.5 Rushing Yards

The Tennessee Titans are getting thrown right into the fire to start the season as they take on the Denver Broncos. The Broncos were ranked third in rush defense and seventh in total defense last season.

The Titans are fighting an uphill battle in this game, which may see them behind big on the scoreboard early. This usually leads to more passing attempts and limits the amount of rushing attempts. The combination of going against one of the best run defenses while also not getting an abundance of carries will lead to Pollard rushing for less than 60 yards.

Jonathan Taylor OVER 78.5 Rushing Yards

The Indianapolis Colts have been in the front of the NFL headlines because they decided to name Daniel Jones as their starting quarterback over their young, 2023 first round pick, Anthony Richardson.

The Colts are going to want to set up Jones for success by establishing the run, early and often. Jonathan Taylor will not only benefit from the amount of carries but the threat of Jones as a runner. This will open up lanes for Taylor and this will lead to him rushing for more than 80 yards.
